Thanksgiving Cornucopia Treats

Cornucopia or "horn of plenty" is known as one of the great symbols of Thanksgiving. This cute twist on a cornucopia is perfect for anyone ages 1-101!

These adorable treats can be used as part of a table setting, as a class gift, or as a parting favor as people leave your Thanksgiving table.

Materials Needed:

Small waffle cones

M & M's, dried fruit, round cereal, raisins, jelly beans, cereal squares, trail mix or whatever goodies you'd like to stuff your cornucopia with!

Rubber bands

6 inch cut squares of cellophane/cling wrap

Festive Ribbon

Here's what you do:

1. Soak the tip of the waffle cone in warm water for about 20 seconds. Put a little water on the inside of the cone too. This will soften up the tip so you can bend it into the traditional cornucopia shape.

2. Remove from water and microwave the wet waffle cone for about 20 seconds.

3. Roll the softened tip of the cone around a clean pencil and hold it in place for about 20 seconds.

4. After the cone has hardened and dried completely, fill with the goodies you've chosen!

5. Cover the opening with plastic wrap, use the rubber band to secure the wrap, and tie a ribbon around to hide the rubber band.

You can modify these however you'd like:
Use fruit inside and keep them in the fridge until serving!
Fill with a candy corn or hershey's kisses!
Add a Name Tag to them and use as Thanksgiving Name Cards/Place Settings!
