A Little Birdy Told Me

There is always something really nice about giving back to nature. This year we put up several bird feeders, a hummingbird feeder and a bird house to accomodate some feathered friends. Here is a fun, cheap and great way for you and your kids to give back to nature this fall!

Save your left over milk containers (gallon jugs, half gallons, etc) and cut a hole in them. Have the kids paint the jugs/cartons or simply grab a bunch of fall foam stickers (Dollar Tree $1) and decorate them. Hang from tree branches with twine and fill with birdseed or sunflower seeds.

My kids get a kick out of watching birds eat because they make such a mess with their food (just like the kids do). This would be a great craft to do with children of all ages and an easy and cheap gift for them to give to anyone with a fall birthday! This would make a great classroom activity as well! Get crafty and show us your version of this great earth friendly craft!
